Balance Me - Pure Skin Face Wash - Review

Balance me are natural, high-performance, paraben and sulphate free, aromatherapy skincare products, made in the UK.
Being a sucker for Britsh products, I have tried a few of their products.
Some I didn't really like but the Pure Skin Face Wash is one I really love.

The company has won numerous awards and often offer some of their products to try free with magazine.

What does Balance Me promise ?

Cleanse your face of make-up and daily grime with our gentle yet effective, sulphate and petroleum free face wash to achieve a balanced, clean complexion without stripping away your skin’s natural moisture levels.
We’ve blended soothing, balancing, deliciously fragrant grapefruit, petitgrain and frankincense essential oils with spruce knot extract to help improve and smooth the appearance of congested or problem complexions.
Anti-oxidant rich moringa and rice bran oils help to brighten and polish the skin to leave it smooth and gently cleansed.

What do I think ?

The texture :

Thee product feels quite rich and creamy.
You only need a small amount to wash your face and therefore good value for money.
It will not foam much. Which is probably a good sign, meaning less chemicals.

The feel:

My skin felt instantly refreshed when I applied it to my wet face.
My face felt very clean (I have combination skin) and not "stripped"
However, I definitely need to use facial moisturiser when I come out of the shower

The smell:
This is the feature that draws me the moist to Balance Me Pure Skin face wash.
I absolutely love it ! The grapefruit gives it a really zingy smell fresh, whilst the frankincense gives it that gorgeous, luxury and rich smell.

How did it fare ?

I have been using it for a couple of months.
I am probably 3/4 through my 50ml tube despite using it once a day !
My sensitive, combination skin feels soft and the face wash didn't give me any more frequent break-out.
It is not a miracle acne treatment but never said it was.
If you suffer from sensitive or problem skin, you will love the product as it should  not cause you any redness or tingly sensation nor will it bring breakouts.
For normal skin, this should be a great all-round product.
Cleansing will feel like a treat, in particular in the evening with the wonderful essential oils.

Other benefits:

Balance me products come in various sizes. You can get this face wash in 15ml (week-end away), 50ml (long holiday) or 125ml (everyday home use). Which is great for travelling.

Another benefit is the Balance Me Skin Clinic : This week is the penultimate week

"So far we've had a fantastic response to our Skin Clinic, and we are now in our penultimate week.
Whether your skin is dry, congested, sensitive or sore, our Balance Me skin experts will be on hand to offer advice on 21st and 22nd May between 1-2pm. This is your chance to find your skin solution without even having to leave the house.
Just post or tweet your skin concern during the opening hour or, if you'd rather, email  or message us privately and we will reply directly to you."

I would give the product a 4.5 out of 5 marks

Disclaimer : I initially received this product for free with a magazine. The decision to review was entirely mine the opinions expressed in this review too. Balance Me has not sponsored this post, nor is the company aware of this post at time of publication
