Food wasn't the main reason I visited Windsor this year … the horse-show was a big part of it.
The backdrop to the show jumping and other events is absolutely stunning |

A photo of the Queen never fails to impress us Americans. We have got our independence but still, the Royal family Rocks!
ReplyDeleteLove the guards, they're so impressive to watch, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteThey are. And there are some pictures of the Household Cavalry Musical Ride to come in the next post ;-).
DeleteTraining the horse to run so close to one another and lying down must take months of practice. That never fails to impress me.
i used to live in colnbrook which is just down the road from windsor great park and the traffic was horrendous during the horse show the whole of windsor is taken over by horsey people and police traffic division
ReplyDeletei have driven past many times but never actually attended myself your piccys are great much nicer than all those queues lol
Windsor definitely gets taken over by the Horse-crowd ;-) But worth the day out.
DeleteI am not a horse-person and have accompanied a friend a few times. I really enjoy the day.
This will be on my list to do with the kids when we go back to England!
ReplyDeleteThe kids will love it. There are some really fun races on Shetland ponys and other kids competition. They are tremendous fun to watch for both kids and grown ups ;-)
