Dove Invisible Dry 48h Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Compressed 75ml - Review

I very first tried this as Bzz Agent.
I received a couple of cans and several money-off coupons to distribute.
Although I received this product for free, you will find my honest opinion.

I kept a can for myself and gave the other to a friend of mine.
We both loved it for different reasons.

What does Dove says ?

Something big (or should we say ‘small’) is happening to Dove deodorants... They have compressed the same amount of protection and care into a little can half the size! That’s right, after years of development and testing, Dove have managed to change the deodorant’s nozzle so that it sprays out less gas whilst still delivering exactly the same amount of antiperspirant and ¼ moisturising cream. Giving you all the care and protection you expect from Dove, just in a little can half the size.

What do I think ?

Let's start with the new format can since it is their main selling point :

Nothing bad to say, I simply love it !
Easier to fit in your bag and take anywhere, smaller and less visible on the bathroom shelf.
The main advantage I found is that  it complies with airline regulations for transporting liquid in hand-luggage. One less over-priced travel size item I need to buy !
Does it last as long ? I eventually found it out it does !

What about the deodorant itself ?

The fragrance is fresh and familiar but quite strong.  I usually prefer un-fragranced body care so it doesn't clash with my perfume. I could still smell the deodorant through my clothes hours later.
It really doesn't mark dark clothing but I haven't try to get dressed seconds or minutes after spraying.
It claims it contains 1/4 moisturising cream and vitamin E. I could hardly tell you whether my armpit skin feels more hydrated but I confirm that it didn't irritate my sensitive skin, nor did it make my skin feel dehydrated.
I also love the fact it contains no alcohol.

What did my friends say ?

One loved the fragrance and found it very refreshing. She hadn't used it before but will now (she asked for not one but 3 vouchers ;-))
The other sprayed a little on her hand and said that YES, it does feel the same way it used to, I do believe the claim of half a bottle, same quantities. She will carry on buying it whilst she may have been wary before.
The last one, my super-green friend loved the fact that the new compressed system is greener for the environment. However, she will carry on buying more eco-friendly, non aerosol deodorants.

Will I carry on buying it ?
Most probably, to take on holidays and for lazy days where I do not wear any body lotion and
matching perfume.
My score : 4.5 out of 5

  1. I love these deodrants, I was worried I was going to get 'conned' with the compressed eco friendly cans but like your friend said, it does still feel the same and do the same job! :)

  5. I can't use Dove products. I have VERY sensitive skin and Dove just irritates my skin and gives me rashes :-(
